Do you know about the Osaka’s Tennoji Zoo?

Established January 1st 1915, it is the third oldest zoo in Japan and still just as popular.

天王寺動物園

As one of the ways to enjoy Tennoji-Zoo we offer the demonstrations of the life of animals.
In the African savanna animal zone, you can watch lions and giraffes living in the same environment. Also, you can watch a hippopotamus swimming. During the lunch you can watch animals acting differently from what they act usually.
The lunch time is announced so you will never miss it!

ふれあい体験

Regular events are also held in the zoo.
The most popular regular event is interaction with the guinea pigs.
After listening to the instructions provided by a zookeeper, you will be able to stroke or even hug a guinea pig.

Amongst other events there are lectures by veterinarians, in which a veterinarian will tell you, with the help of slides, about the treatment of wild animals and “a day with the animals” in which it will be explained how animals spend their time during closing hours.

Since Tennoji-Zoo is located within the city, the access is very easy.
Why don’t you visit Tennoji-Zoo – an Osaka Zoo with a long history.
