Tanabata Festival (Star Festival) at Hatamono Shrine

An annual event sacred to the patron goddess of weavers.

This shrine is dedicated to the Vega. Decorated with bamboo branches on both days of the festival, the shrine is surrounded by numerous street stalls and thronged with visitors. The portable shrines procession is held at 4 p.m. on the 7th.
