A Single Bloom from a Single Seed

To mark the 50th anniversary of the opening of the museum, a variety of highly regarded pieces, including three Japanese National Treasures as well as 13 Important Cultural Properties will be on display.

When Takayuki Masaki opened the museum 50 years ago using his personal art collection as the base for its exhibitions, he said he was “prepared to pour all of his energy into growing a single seed.
” The Masaki Art Museum, like a single flower in bloom, is reaching a turning point.
In order to mark this occasion, the museum will hold a special exhibition, separated into three parts, of its most highly respected pieces.
