In this 1,000-year-old ritual, court music and dancing is performanced to celebrate the anniversary of Prince Shotoku’s death.
On 22nd April, the anniversary of Prince Shotoku’s death, bugaku (court music and dance) is performed on the Ishibutai Stone Stage before the Rokujido Hall.
Surviving for more than 1,000 years, the performance has been designated as Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset by the national goverment.
