Mint Museum

Mint Museum was originally built as a power plant in 1911 and is the only-lasting brick building within the Japan Mint office which was constructed in the Meiji era.
The building was made into a museum in 1969 in the aim of preserving the building along with introducing the coinage industry.
In 2009, the museum was redesigned into an eco-friendly and visitor-friendly museum by integrating cutting-edge technologies for the exhibitions.
